Ciao
This week was INCREDIBLE. It feels like it was an eternity long because we had soooo many things happen but also it passed in like a blink of an eye. Time is the weirdest thing here. It goes by so fast but also so slow and all of a sudden I'm almost 3 weeks in kansas and 2 months since being set apart but I swear I just said bye to my family?! Crazy! So happy to be here though!
Okay. So here's the run down! Changing up the format a little bit just for fun so enjoy.
-Tuesday: service at a "friend of the church" house! And Burger King and soda for breakfast! Heck yeah!
-Wednesday: ZONE CONFERENCE! In person! This was amazing. Elder Shaeffer from Olympus is in my zone so we chatted for a little which was fun! Also Sister Kirkham from skyline! Holladay represent but wow learning from the Mission President and his wife and the other missionary leaders was so cool. They are amazing! I felt so much missionary FIRE!! And motivation! It was so cool to see how much love our president and his wife and the others had for us! I could just see it and feel it in how they spoke to us! So cool!
-Thursday: we had some lessons with nonmembers today... really good :)
-Friday: we met a person at our apartment complex and she agreed to meet up and we can teach her wahoo! She also has the CUTEST puppy! That's how we met because the dog came up to us and started licking Sister Wirick and I haha. But hey it all turned out great! Also EXCHANGES with the sister training leaders for a couple hours was so fun! I learned a lot from the sister I was paired with... see scripture and thought below :)
-Saturday: the elders had a baptism today which was amazing. We went to help set up some things with zoom! It was the sweetest service and I got to play the piano a bit wahoo.
-Sunday: we had some AWESOME lessons today. And teaching is just so fun! We also had the chance to give a lesson to the mission president's wife Sister Ernst which was awesome. She is so sweet and the spirit was so strong and she gave us some great scriptures and suggestions in teaching the restoration ahh. I loved it
I am so so so happy.
Jacob 5:71-72
"And if ye labor with your might with me ye shall have joy in the fruit which I shall lay up unto myself against the time which will soon come. And it came to pass that the servants did go and labor with their mights; and the Lord of the vineyard labored also with them."
It's all about laboring WITH the Lord and letting Him help us! Whether we are laboring as missionaries or just in life, let Him in. Let Him walk with us. And we can find joy with Him!
K-State is starting SOON and everyone is moving in and we are sooo excited for new people and for new ideas in finding people wahoo! God is good!
