Midterm Season

Hello hello hello!

Transfers are this week! And I am staying for my 3rd transfer in Manhattan! Time is crazy and going so fast. And I'm out of training woot woot. SURPRISE Sister Wirick is staying! She has been here for 7 months now so we all thought she was leaving but she is staying! Which was a surprise but we are still excited because of big plans we have these transfer! Sister Ahlborn is leaving thiugh which we are SAD about. Just saying bye to my best friends makes me sadddd but it's all good!

BUT we have been teaching someone named Doug... basically he has had a tough past couple years. And we met him through some service we were doing for him and walking his dog. And then we invited him to conference last week and he came! And then we asked if he wanted to learn more and he said yes! So we taught him 3 lessons this last week, and invited him to be baptized on November 7th and he said YES!!! He loves the happy joyful feelings from the spirit. And has really just embraced the hope and peace and joy that learning about the gospel has brought him:) So Sister Wirick is happy to be able to be here for his baptism too!

Daniel is still doing great! Midterms happening at kstate so super busy so we were only able to meet once this week where we talked about the sacrament and our baptismal covenant, but he came to church on Sunday and loved it! And is still progressing very very well. We are excited for him. And he loves the promise that through these things he can have the Spirit to always be with him.

We invited our friend Rae we were teaching to be baptized this week as well, and she said no not yet, but then the next day texted us saying she was done taking lessons. Though she was grateful for how we brought her closer to Christ, she didn't want to continue. Which honestly was SO HARD to hear. We have developed so much love for her and really felt like she was progressing and embracing it, and to hear her not want to take the next step to come unto Christ was sad. But it was a huge testament to me of God's love. I imagined how much love I had for her, and how I have only taught her for 2 months, and just felt so much of God's love for her. And also his sadness for her, but recognizing that it is all in His timing!

I am excited for another transfer in Manhattan and super excited for Doug and Daniel:) Missionary life has its ups and downs always, but I am so happy to be a missionary! And representing Christ.

John 14:21! So good! We keep the commandments because we love God, when we keep the commandments, He gives us His complete love and will manifest Himself unto us! This gospel is true and teaching it makes me so happy:)
