Zone Conference Hype
Hello hello!
Still doing well here in our cute college town Manhattan:) Nothing too new this week!
But ZONE CONFERENCE. I. Love. Zone. Conference. Just a whole day to be so spiritually enlightened! And with only missionaries! We talked all about Joseph Smith and him as a prophet of God and the Restoration Proclamation! (Which I invite all of you to go read RN it is POWERFUL!!!) Some of my favorite lines from it are:
- He (Christ) is our SAVIOR, our EXEMPLAR, and our REDEEMER
- He had questions regarding the salvation of his soul and trusted that God would direct Him.
- The Book of Mormon testifies that all human beings are sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven, that He has a divine plan for our lives, and that His Son, Jesus Christ, speaks today as well as in days of old.
- He invites all of us to COME UNTO HIM.
- God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters.
Holy smokes the entire thing is so good. Read it and study it! You can learn so much! And I can promise along with our prophet and his apostles that those who study it and act in faith can gain a witness for themselves! That just to say.... zone conference was amazing. And I love my mission president and his sweet wife, and all the other missionaries, and learn so much from all of them! SALINA ZONE
Sorella Perschon and I taught a lesson in italian to one of the members who served her mission in Italy for our language study and it was so fun! Just seeing how strong the spirit still could be as we were testifying of Joseph Smith and Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon - all through our rough italian!
We are SO EXCITED for General Conference this week!! In President Nelson's last talk Hear Him, I love when he says "Our Father knows that when we are surrounded by uncertainty and fear, what will help us the very most is to hear His Son." And then comparing that to 3 Nephi 11:5 - "The third time they did hear the voice, and they did OPEN THEIR EARS to hear it; and their eyes were towards the sound thereof, and they did look STEADFASTLY towards heaven." When we are seeking to hear Him, we need to open our ears, minds, and hearts to accept it in. And look steadfastly to who it is coming from - look to Christ. Follow Christ! I am soooo beyond excited to hear from the prophet and his apostles the words that God has for us to hear! General conference is such an amazing opportunity to literally hear the words that God wants to speak to us. YAY!!
