Super super super BENE
CIAO again everyone!!
So so so many great things happened these past 2 weeks and I am just so happy! Still loving learning here in the mtc... and so many things to be grateful for! Here are the highlights!
- MET MY COMPS IN PERSON!!! We all live in Utah so we met at my house for lunch! It. Was. So. Fun. I absolutely adore them! We sat and talked and joked and just got to know each other better in the heat of my backyard for more than 4 HOURS!! So fun. They are the best. I am always shocked at how good of friends we all are even though we had only talked over screen! I am so lucky!
- ZOOM FESTA with the best district ever! Big zoom meeting with my district just to talk and be together and play some nice games over zoom! SO FUN
- Not necessarily a highlight but a big moment... said goodbye to my bestie Sorella Abby Harris as she and her family move to Georgia with her parents being called as mission presidents there! They will be the best! A sad goodbye but also happy as we are both so excited to be missionaries!
- Aaaaand REASSIGNMENT!!! .....drumroll please.....
to WICHITA KANSAS!!!!
I cannot even explain how HAPPY and EXCITED I am!!!! My whole district got our reassignments on Wednesday! One Anziano got his first and then it was like a ripple effect of us all getting emails and calls! And I am going to KANSAS!!!! It feels so right and so good. That was all I could think about all day (and all week) and just how excited I was to be a real missionary teaching and also how excited I am to go to Kansas! I know it's exactly where I am supposed to go! Don't know a whole lot about it other than that it's the sunflower state (@ my BYU buds... you already know I'll be singing sunflower the entire time there;)), there apparently was the tallest waterslide in the world there and you could go 70mph down it (but then it closed permanently), and there is some GOOD bbq! And I go basically right after I finish the mtc so super happy about that too!
- More English TRC lessons and Italian too! I love teaching with my comps!
I am truly so happy! I love being a missionary and am SO excited to go to Kansas!
And a quick little spiritual thought!
Romans 8:28 "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
I absolutely love this! and then it later says in this chapter, "If God be for us, who can be against us?"! God completely has a plan for each of us! We may not recognize where it is going or how it will all workout in the moment... but He wants us to be happy. And He does everything for the benefit of His children! All things will work together for our good, and God is constantly reaching out to us. He LOVES each of us. I have felt that so strongly during my time here! Trust in God and His plan for you!
