Zone Conference Hype

Image
Hello hello! Still doing well here in our cute college town Manhattan:) Nothing too new this week! But ZONE CONFERENCE. I. Love. Zone. Conference. Just a whole day to be so spiritually enlightened! And with only missionaries! We talked all about Joseph Smith and him as a prophet of God and the Restoration Proclamation! (Which I invite all of you to go read RN it is POWERFUL!!!) Some of my favorite lines from it are: - He (Christ) is our SAVIOR, our EXEMPLAR, and our REDEEMER - He had questions regarding the salvation of his soul and trusted that God would direct Him. - The Book of Mormon testifies that all human beings are sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven, that He has a divine plan for our lives, and that His Son, Jesus Christ, speaks today as well as in days of old. - He invites all of us to COME UNTO HIM. - God is making known His will for His beloved sons and daughters. Holy smokes the entire thing is so good. Read it and study it! You can learn so much! An...

21st Night of September

Image
Do you remember [in the] 21 days of September... We were changing the minds of nonmembers (at least trying to), while chasing confusion away... The Spirit was teaching, in the key that our mouths were speaking, as we teached into the night, remember...... how the missionaries converted alllll of Kansas! Hahah HAPPY SEPTEMBER 21ST! There is my great attempt of writing song lyrics, as you can tell I'm super good! This week was QUITE the week. Honestly I don't even remember what happened other than that we did a lot of service, JOE GOT MARRIED, we had a great lesson with Rae, found a cute little Kansas vineyard that looked like ITALY kinda lol, went to one of Kansas's very own mountains for pday, and Elder Shaeffer from Olympus got transferred into my district now (let's go Titans)!! Missionary life is so so good here in Kansas and I love it! Rae is doing so great and it is so fun to teach her! She said she had an experience where she just felt that God knew...

John's Song

HELLO everyone!!! (Subject line is a GOOD SONG) This week was full of RAIN, poison ivy, exchanges in Salina, Braums, and lots of lessons with members! And an ITALIAN lesson! Weather was WEIRD this week in the high 40s! So we were mostly inside this week as it was rainy as well:) All good though still fun. But I do love the sun. Sister Wirick and I both got poison ivy at service last weekend which was also wild! Not very fun because it's itchy... but also kinda an adventure and bucket list moment maybe?! And IN PERSON 24 hour exchanges with our Sister Training Leaders! Sister Adams and Sister Peterson - they are the coolest! We travelled to Salina and worked with them in their apartment! No pictures, but I was with Sister Adams, and we worked over her area... (She is HILARIOUS) delivering lots of cookies and notes and having phone call lessons with sweet old ladies! It was fun working in a family war... as majority of my lessons currently are with ysa college kids, it was ...

Baby Blue Car

Ciaowdy y'all!! Life is good here in Manhattan! This week was relatively slow teaching wise, and we had many fall through per usual lol but other good lessons or moments make up for the rest, and I am still so happy here! - TEACHING RAE. This has been incredible. We have totally been able to see her start to have a change of heart as she accepts it more and more. She is super sensitive to what she is feeling and how things feel... so we have been big on emphasizing the fruits of the spirit and how when she feels those good things, that is the Spirit! She is awesome and we get to call/meet up with her multiple times a week. - with transfers they split our district in half! My half did not have any new missionaries come in, the other half lost 2 sisters but gained one new elder! We still see them and do service with them because we are the same areas, so still very fun :) - I got my driving tiwi card woot woot! Sister Wirick and I had a fun little photo shoot with our Baby...
