Baby Blue Car
Ciaowdy y'all!! Life is good here in Manhattan!
This week was relatively slow teaching wise, and we had many fall through per usual lol but other good lessons or moments make up for the rest, and I am still so happy here!
- TEACHING RAE. This has been incredible. We have totally been able to see her start to have a change of heart as she accepts it more and more. She is super sensitive to what she is feeling and how things feel... so we have been big on emphasizing the fruits of the spirit and how when she feels those good things, that is the Spirit! She is awesome and we get to call/meet up with her multiple times a week.
- with transfers they split our district in half! My half did not have any new missionaries come in, the other half lost 2 sisters but gained one new elder! We still see them and do service with them because we are the same areas, so still very fun :)
- I got my driving tiwi card woot woot! Sister Wirick and I had a fun little photo shoot with our Baby Blue car and some nice shades and my driving card because... ya know... big moment! And Rae got to see me drive for the first time on the mission too :') definitely a bonding moment.
- OH my district leader played a joke on me telling me I was being emergency transferred (!!!) (this was all a joke don't worry). I kid you not my heart DROPPED. I was like idk if this is to Italy or to another area or what is happening but I was like woah. And then after he told me my face switched from shock, to concern, to sadness all in about 2 seconds! And I was like well Elder that is exactly what was going through my head! I loveeee Manhattan and I love Kansas! Still hoping and excited for Italy at some point - especially as some missionaries are headed there now (ah!) - but wow I love Kansas. I will actually be so sad leaving! But also excited for Italy.... a lot of mixed emotions about it! But that just to say I am so happy here in Kansas (as I say every week I think HAHA) And I love it here! The people here are so kind and just relaxed and I love it so much!! Ciaowdy y'all!! Life is gooooood here in Manhattan!
This week was relatively slow teaching wise, and we had many fall through per usual lol but other good lessons or moments make up for the rest, and I am still so happy here!
Here's a quick scripture: Alma 34:29 - "if ye do not remember to be charitable, ye are as dross..." basically if we don't have charity we are nothing. Gets me every time haha! Invitation: look for ways to show and develop your charity more!!!
Second scripture (sorry but not) Galatians 5:22-23 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith..." I love where it just says the fruit of the spirit is goodness. God is good!!
Have a happy week! Sister Nydegger
