First Transfer Done

END OF TRANSFERS! Already??? Crazy. Still staying in ManHIPSTERS town. Time is going so fast. But I am SO HAPPY. I love being a missionary. Per usual... many fallen through lessons this week, a whole lot of service, and a lot of fun with my district, and my FIRST bashy lesson!

My district is literally a big group of ALL MY BEST FRIENDS!! They make me laugh so hard. They inspire me. They make me so happy. They work hard. And also love to have a gooood time so we have so much fun together :) talking about our missionary work, serving, hanging out, everything! We just got our transfer doc this morning and our district is actually changing quite a bit and we are sadddddd. Obviously excited to see who comes in and meet new people but it just shocks me how quickly things can change! Sister Wirick and I are both SO happy about staying in Manhattan. Honestly it was a close call though, she has been here for a while and a lot of the trainers/trainees in our district are moving. But we still here. So happy! But also sad to say bye :(

Here are the highlights of the week:
- trying some new finding ideas on kstate university! Swedish fish competition and getting a bunch of numbers from college students :)
- teaching Rae! She is dating our branch mission correlation guy and we have had some great lessons with her! And she comes to church! She is so sweet and genuinely wants to learn about the gospel. Her boyfriend, Taylor, we are way good friends with. He is not entirely sure her opinion on it all. But it's important to both of them that she learns and he wants it to be completely her decision if she accepts it. He's awesome and we are hoping she keeps liking what we are teaching her. We're good friends!
- so we do district volleyball every pday and also once or twice in the week for YSA activities which is SO fun. And surprise surprise I'm actually becoming kinda good. Half the time I think it's just luck, BUT I can hit it up!!
- we had a lesson with this guy named Ivan and he answered and he was like "Hi sisters I'm sorry I just need to put away my chickens!" And he flips his camera and he is holding like 5 chickens in one hand by their ankles and then throws them in a cage. Pretty funny haha.
- Sunday was hilarious. Basically everything that could go wrong did go wrong! We had so many lessons planned and every single one fell through! Except for one at the very end of the day. And we were like yes. Finally a lesson! BUT. It was a hugeeee bash haha! Kinda entertaining though! So there's my first Kansas missionary bash lesson :)
- I rolled the window up on my head on accident!

That sums up my week I think! A whole lot of service, a lot of fallen through lessons, but some awesome lessons with our friends of the church that we are teaching, so much fun with my district, and now goodbyes this week :')

Here's my lil spiritual thought:
D&C 121:41-46 "Let thy bowels also be full of charity towards all men, and to the household of faith, and let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God...The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion..."
One of the elders shared this with us the other day and I love it. If we are full of charity and virtue - loving others and having clean thoughts - then the Holy Ghost will be our constant companion. As a missionary, we are always trying to better have the Holy Ghost as our constant companion and teach by the spirit. But I think this verse is such a beautiful thought for everyone! We are promised we can have the Holy Ghost with us as we strive to have more charity and virtue!

Ahh I love this gospel! And I love being a missionary! I say this so much but I'm so happy here. My heart is just so full of love towards EVERYONE! My whole district and my branch here in Manhattan and the people we're teaching and Sister Wirick and God! So much love!

Vi amo molto molto molto!
Sister Nydegger
